Our journey began in 2011 in Mumbai, driven by a singular vision: to revolutionise the Indian dining experience by showcasing the depth and diversity of regional cuisines. What started as a passion project for Pankaj Gupta, later joined by his brother Avinash Gupta, has grown into a dynamic hospitality group with 200+ talented individuals sharing our commitment to culinary excellence and a love for Indian cuisine.
From our first venture, Oye Kake—a heart-warming, generous vegetarian Punjabi restaurant—to our latest addition, Kerala Quarters, each of our brands tells a unique story. Our portfolio now spans four distinct brands across eight outlets in Mumbai and Hyderabad, with ambitious expansion plans for Tier 1 and 2 cities.
Pankaj Gupta’s culinary journey is deeply personal.
A transformative solo trip to Amritsar sparked the creation of Oye Kake in Mumbai, challenging the conventions of commercial, often non-vegetarian North Indian cuisine with home-style flavours.
This success led to the birth of Taftoon, delving deeper into North Indian regional food, followed by CIRQA 1960, our innovative and forward-thinking cocktail bar and restaurant. Each establishment represents a careful study of regional flavours, cooking techniques, and cultural heritage, bringing something truly unique to Mumbai’s dining landscape.
